The Mission of the European Biofuels Technology Platform is to contribute
to the development of:
- cost-competitive world-class biofuels technologies,
- a healthy biofuels industry supplying sustainable biofuels in the
European Union,
through a process of guidance, prioritisation and promotion of research, development and demonstration.
The European Biofuels Technology Platform is supervised by a Steering
Committee.
The activities are carried out by the members of Five
Working Groups and
supervised by a Member State Mirror Group. It is supported by a Secretariat that receives partial financial support from the European Commission under
FP6 Contract number 038979
