Bliss Baker, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Renewable Fuels Association (CRFA) today (24th September) announced that Gordon Quaiattini, a veteran political insider and government relations specialist has accepted an offer to fill the new post of CRFA President.
"We are extremely pleased that Gord is taking on this new challenge. Gord has been an instrumental part of the biofuels industry over the last several years and his experience, knowledge, and impeccable government relations abilities will serve us well," said Baker. "Gord is assuming a leadership role at a very exciting time of growth and expansion. He will help us deliver on the promise of biofuels for farmers, consumers and the environment." As President, Mr. Quaiattini will act as the principal advocate for renewable fuels in Ottawa and the provinces, as well as be the main national media industry spokesperson. Prior to his appointment as CRFA President, Mr. Quaiattini was a principal at Wellington Strategy Group, a boutique Ottawa government relations firm. At Wellington Strategy Group he played a lead counsel role to biofuels clients. Mr. Quaiattini also previously worked in federal and provincial politics as well as Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Degree in Political Science from Laurentian University and a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Carleton University. |
